Islamorada Florida, the fishing Capitol of the world. Islamorada an island in the chain of the Florida Keys that sits about 1 hour and 45 minutes south of Miami Florida and boasts some of the best fishing in the world, including some fantastic Tarpon fishing. Tarpon fishing in Islamorada really heats up in the months of April, May and June. Catching these ancient giants over thousands of years old is a passion for most salt water anglers.The tarpon run in Islamorada during this time is the best time to land a good size tarpon. If you have never caught a tarpon it must be put on your bucket list, it is an amazing combination of fight and a great aerial show as well. Tarpon fishing to most can be very addicting and year after year anglers old and young flock to the Florida keys to go tarpon fishing.
